CDP reps attend NBSCAB meeting
Representatives from FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) recently participated in a National Bomb Squad Commander’s Advisory Board (NBSCAB) meeting in Huntsville, Alabama.
The NBSCAB is made up of 12 elected members from across the country, all of whom are bomb squad commanders. It is considered the leadership element of the U.S. Bomb Squad Program.
CDP training is used as prerequisites for state, local, tribal, and territorial responders who attend the FBI’s Bomb Technicians Course, and the center provides responders more than 70 percent of the NBSCAB’s hazardous materials training requirements.
CDP representatives reviewed the partnership to ensure its training materials and student skills applications continue to be effectively integrated into the FBI course and the NBSCAB.
