CDP schedules November resident courses
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) opened registration for courses scheduled in November.
- CDP November healthcare courses include the Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management; Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL); Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT); Emergency Medical Operations for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Incidents; and Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease.
NOTE: Each iteration of the HCL and HERT courses will culminate in a Capstone Event, a comprehensive exercise where students work together in response to simulated mass casualty incidents.
- Hazardous materials offerings include Hazardous Materials Operations, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection courses.
- Law enforcement courses, including Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning and Response Actions for All Hazards; Field Force Extrication Tactics; Field Force Operations; Response to Controlled Dangerous Substances: Fentanyl, Analogs and Pharmaceutical Based Agents; and Public Order Public Safety-Basic courses.
