CDP starts campus improvement projects

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) started work this week on three new construction projects.

The first, at the Responder Lodging Complex, involves the reconfiguration and paving of a section of road. That project is expected to be complete by summer.

It will be followed by the renovation of a dorm and replacement of the cafeteria roof in the complex.

Two projects at the Noble Training Facility (NTF), meanwhile, will impact movement around the facility the remainder of 2023.

Renovation of the building’s brick envelope may limit building access. The renovation involves the removal of the brick exterior of a section of the building, structural repairs being made to the facility, then the bricks being replaced.

Additionally, the NTF parking lot is being replaced, which will necessitate closure of certain areas of the lot while the new pavement cures.

Please note: Students and CDP staff must not enter work areas, even if workers are not present. If an area is closed for renovation, it is a safety hazard to enter it.
