CDP Superintendent discusses center, preparedness on national podcast

A Theory-N2-Practice podcast posted earlier today features Center for Domestic Preparedness Superintendent Tony Russell.

The podcast is targeted at emergency management professionals across the nation and airs weekly on Wednesday mornings.

In the 45-minute-long CDP segment, Russell talks about the training the center provides responders, emphasizing its “immersive, hands-on” aspects.

He also explains how the training provides graduates with the confidence to respond to all-hazards incidents and perform critical and, often, life-saving tasks.

Russell joins several other FEMA senior leaders who have appeared on the program. That group includes former FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor.
