CDP takes one of its most popular healthcare courses ‘on the road’

The Center for Domestic Preparedness is in California this week, providing responders a condensed, mobile version of one of its most popular healthcare courses.

The CDP is delivering an abbreviated version of its Environmental Heath Training in Emergency Response Operations (EHTER OPS) course to responders in Auburn, CA, which is part of metropolitan Sacramento.

The course, which teaches responders how to perform environmental health tasks in emergencies or disasters, is normally four days in length and taught on its campus in Anniston, Al.  The mobile version is two days long.

This is the second time in the past year the CDP has provided a condensed, mobile version of the course to responders in the most populous state in the country.  In late 2018, the Center provided the course to responders near San Diego.

The demand for shortened versions of CDP courses, or only select modules of courses, is growing in popularity.  Officials in Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Washington State are currently exploring such opportunities for responders in their states.
