CDP to expand library of training videos
The library of training videos at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness is about to expand once again.
The center is currently producing a pair of 3- to 4-minute videos targeted at responders of all types. Its goal is to have both videos on the CDP YouTube page by the end of October.
The first video will provide awareness of ‘Fourth Generation’ nerve agents, as well as response considerations to incidents involving those agents. Fourth Generation nerve agents are low volatility, highly persistent agents such as Novichok which have been used in multiple, highly publicized incidents across the globe.
The second video will provide awareness about the powerful synthetic drug Fentanyl, to include the risks of Fentanyl exposure, and incident response and antidote information. Fentanyl is said to be similar to morphine and heroin but 50 to 100 times more potent.
The videos will expand a collection of training and informational videos the CDP has been creating and posting online since the spring.
They include videos on a wide range of topics, from how to safely deal with individuals known or suspected of having been exposed to COVID-19 to how responders can keep their personal information safe when working in cyberspace.
All the videos are available on the CDP’s YouTube page at:
