CDP to participate in 2020 National Preparedness Symposium
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness has announced that it will deliver a presentation at this year’s National Preparedness Symposium.
The CDP will deliver a presentation based on its Psychological Preparedness for Responders course, which helps responders understand the types of events which typically cause stress or stress-induced psychological trauma, the signs and symptoms of stress and stress-induced psychological trauma, and coping methods for stress and stress disorders. The presentation will be delivered on the third day of the event.
The annual symposium provides attendees, who include state, tribal and territorial emergency management managers and trainers, the latest information about preparedness offerings across FEMA and those of its preparedness training partners. The event also provides a forum for attendees to share best practices and case studies related to the training of responders and emergency managers.
This year’s symposium is being hosted virtually by FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute on September 17 and 24, and October 1 and 8.
