CDP trains Rhode Island responders

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) provided non-resident public order police training late last month for the Rhode Island State Police (RISP).

Non-resident courses are delivered by contract CDP instructors at or near the location of the agency requesting the training.

Approximately 140 law enforcement officers participated in Field Force Operations and Field Force Validation training.

The RISP routinely provides mutual aid in the northeastern United States for National Special Security Event and Special Event Assessment Rating-level events, which require public order trained personnel. RISP is discussing ways further expand and enhance training options with the CDP, ensuring their law enforcement officers are prepared to support their communities and their region.
