CDP transforming VILTs to distance learning courses

The Center for Domestic Preparedness is in the process of converting its extensive library of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) offerings to web-based distance learning courses.

Once that is done, the courses will be available to students on-demand, enabling them to take the offerings at their convenience.

To help with the transition, the CDP is currently only scheduling VILTs for responders preparing for special events and cohort groups. Cohort groups are organizations within the same community, county or state who function together.

The CDP began creating and distributing virtual courses in March 2020. Since that time, it has amassed 60 VILT courses and there have been more than 25,000 VILT course completions.

The CDP will share information via its web and social media sites once the new, web-based distance learning courses are available.
