CDP unveils latest Strategic Plan

The Center for Domestic Preparedness has formally unveiled its latest strategic plan.

The plan, which spans calendar years 2019 to 2023, provides a “bold, innovative, and futuristic vision for the CDP to improve preparedness and resilience in communities across the country through the development and delivery of all-hazards training to our Nation’s emergency responders and receivers,” said CDP Superintendent Tony Russell.

“The strategic goals of the plan – embrace and increase innovation, foster a dynamic training and education program, and align our resources with strategic requirements – closely parallel the agency’s strategic goals and support FEMA’s mission of ‘Helping people before, during, and after disasters,’” he added.

A team of employees from across the Center developed the 13-page plan, with input from representatives from FEMA’s Office of Policy and Program Analysis.
