COBRA continues training bay enhancements

The Center for Domestic Preparedness this week installed several props in the training bays of its Chemical, Ordnance, Biological and Radiological Training Facility (COBRATF).

The props – including signs, containers, bar taps and a loading platform – will combine with new vinyl wall coverings in each bay to enhance the realism of activities for those who train at the facility.

The final phase of installation for the new vinyl wall coverings is expected to begin next month.

In a typical year, the CDP trains up to 2,500 civilian first responders to safely operate in environments with actual chemical agents and biological materials. This training gives responders the confidence to deal with these and other hazardous substances during real-world events.
