COBRATF passes annual CASARM audit
The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ (CDP’s) Chemical, Ordnance, Biological and Radiological Training Facility (COBRATF) recently passed its annual Chemical Agent Standard Analytical Reference Material (CASARM) audit with ‘no nonconformances and several commendations.’
A quality assurance team from the U.S. Army’s Chemical Biological Center in Maryland reviewed administrative documents and the facility’s chemical agent air monitoring processes during the inspection, which is one of several routine examinations of the COBRATF by Department of the Army experts.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the team commended the COBRATF’s internal audits, continuous improvements, and automation of document control.
The CDP offers the only training in the nation for civilian responders with actual chemical agents and biological materials. The advanced, hands-on training increases responders’ confidence to respond to real-world incidents involving hazardous substances.
