In the spotlight: Chris Pancake
As an information technology specialist at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness, Chris Pancake assists in maintaining the infrastructure for the CDP’s web portal – which prospective students use to search and apply for training – among other projects.
Pancake holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Troy State University.
He first worked in IT in the Air Force. After he retired in 2004, he worked as an Army civilian for about nine years in Germany, prior to accepting a position at the CDP in 2013.
“There is a high level of job satisfaction in IT. I enjoy figuring out how to make things work or making them work again,” he explained.
