In the Spotlight: Cindy Cosper

Cindy Cosper has been an inventory control specialist at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) since 2019 but she has worked in that field for more than 20 years.

At the CDP, Cosper is accountable for more than 2,000 pieces of equipment, including the iPads students use during their training each week. Her responsibilities not only include conducting regular inventories of the equipment, but also ensuring any faulty items are repaired or replaced.

“I’m here for the people, to make sure our students and employees have what they need,” said Cosper.

She said she came into her career in inventory control almost on accident. She worked in retail during college and, after earning an associate’s degree in sports medicine, she transitioned into management and inventory positions.

“The people I work with at the CDP make the job enjoyable,” said Cosper. “Everyone works together as a team.”
