In the Spotlight: Leslie Geise

A healthcare instructor at the Center for Domestic Preparedness since 2017, Leslie Geise has served in the healthcare field more than 23 years.

Geise, a nationally registered paramedic with Brunswick County Emergency Services in North Carolina, has served as a swift water rescue technician, been a tactical medic with her county’s SWAT team, and works with her state’s medical assistance team as a disaster medical specialist.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in emergency and disaster management and a master’s degree in conflict management and resolution (with a concentration in international terrorism), and she has been involved in several national security incidents in Israel.

Geise has also responded to several disasters in North Carolina, including hurricanes Florence and Matthew.

“Sharing my education and experiences to aid in the preparedness of our great nation against future disasters is both a duty and honor to my fellow emergency responders,” said Giese.
