In the Spotlight: Tony Sanders

Tony Sanders has been an engineering technician for the Center for Domestic Preparedness since 2016, assisting with construction projects as part of its facility operations team. His work impacts every stakeholder of the CDP, including those who train here.

His duties include reviewing project design submittals and developing statements of work and cost estimates of numerous projects across the center in support of the general engineer. He also oversees all the utility (electric, water/sewer and gas) contracts for the campus.

Sanders began his federal career as an Army civilian, working in various capacities, including as a project manager overseeing military construction projects.

“One of the most exciting things to me is seeing a completed project and watching the end user be able to use it,” said Sanders. “Whether it’s Soldiers, or the CDP’s training partners and stakeholders who need it to accomplish their mission or to make their jobs easier or better, there is no feeling like knowing you had a part in making that happen.”
