Pandemic considerations among CDP web-based offerings

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness provides numerous self-paced, web-based training offerings responders can access from work, home or another location using a computer or compatible mobile device.

One of the distance learning offerings – Response Considerations During an Outbreak or Pandemic – examines the numerous things responders must consider when coming into contact with persons known or suspected of having been exposed. The independent study course takes about an hour to complete.

Responders interested in the training should visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/AWR-915-W.

Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a FEMA SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.

FEMA’s mission is helping people before, during and after disasters. The CDP supports this mission by training first responders from across the nation to prepare for and respond to natural and man-made disasters.
