Rad event awareness taught by CDP

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.

Among the offerings is REP Decision Makers Course, which provides a basic awareness and understanding of a radiological event as well as how the information supplied during the event may affect the decision-making process. The 8-hour course teaches students to identify incident phases and how emergency workers play a role in protective action decisions.

Responders interested in the training can learn more by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/AWR-930-W.

Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
