Responders can now receive CDP training video alerts

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness has created a unique way for both prospective students and alumni to keep up with the center’s video-based training offerings.

A new training and educational channel on the CDP’s YouTube page allows individuals to receive e-mail alerts when new video-based training is added to the site.

Prospective students, alumni and others can sign up for the alerts simply by visiting the CDP’s YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCygLDQbg9Cqburp_0D7K5Sw, clicking on the channels tab at the top of the page, then clicking the ‘subscribe’ tab in the middle of the channel page.

Since the summer of 2020, the CDP has hosted several training and other informational items on YouTube.

The items include a CDP overview video, an interview with CDP Superintendent Tony Russell, four videos specifically created to help responders safely navigate the COVID-19 environment and a video titled ‘Hospital Planning for Mass Casualty Incident Surges.’ There are also two videos focused on cyber awareness.

Collectively, the videos have been viewed nearly 10,000 times.
