Select CDP course reaccredited by State of California

Select Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) courses were recently reaccredited by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

The accreditation, which is reviewed every three years, allows California responders to receive state credentials in public health for various CDP hazardous materials and healthcare courses they’ve taken.

As of March 30, more than 130,000 responders from California have completed CDP courses.

The center’s Curriculum and Evaluation and Training Delivery teams collaborated with the CDP’s contractor for instruction to complete the reaccreditation process.

Almost all CDP courses are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. IACET accreditation enables CDP students to earn continuing education credits for completing most resident and nonresident CDP courses. Additionally, the CDP’s Field Force Operations Course is accredited through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) Board of Directors.
