Snapshot: Threat Assessment

Responders in the Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning, and Response Actions for All Hazards (IC) course at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness discuss the threats and vulnerabilities presented during an exercise scenario. IC is a 3-day course which teaches management-level responders working in supervisory positions how decisions made by responders from various disciplines can affect the handling of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive (CBRNE) incident. Participants evaluate threats, identify and prioritize probable targets, measure required capabilities, and discuss the Incident Response Plan (IRP) and Incident Action Plan (IAP) processes.

The CDP is authorized to award 2.4 CEUs for this course by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training. For additional information about the IC Course or to register for future iterations, visit: https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/MGT-360.
