Snapshot: Defeating protest devices
Responders learn to dismantle devices commonly used by protesters to illegally block public access during Field Force Extrication (FFE) training at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. The three-day course trains students to operate the tools necessary to safely extricate individuals from protester devices, while ensuring due process. The course culminates in a series of hands-on activities, allowing responders to practice skills in realistic scenarios. The CDP is authorized to award 2.4 CEUs for this course by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training.
