Snapshot: DREAM course
Soldiers with the Washington, D.C., National Guard speak to ‘survivors’ during an exercise in this week’s Disaster-Related Exposure Assessment and Monitoring (DREAM) Course at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP). The four-day offering teaches responders how to assess, monitor and track the physical conditions of fellow responders and community members before, during and after an emergency or disaster. On a separate note, in a typical year more than 1,000 National Guardsmen attend CDP training. This includes guardsmen in all 50 states and U.S. territories.
