Snapshot: Extrication Training
The Center for Domestic Preparedness' Field Force Extrication (FFE) course is designed to teach responders techniques to defeat various devices protestors use to illegally block streets and buildings, prolonging public and private service disruptions and public freedom of movement. These techniques enable the removal of protestors from the devices in an expedient, but safe, manner to both the protestors and the extraction team. The FFE course discusses the 1st Amendment and other rights afforded to protestors by the US Constitution. The course culminates in a series of hands-on activities, allowing responders to practice skills in realistic scenarios. The course is accredited by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training for 2.4 CEUs.
