Snapshot: Hazardous Materials Operations

Students practice containing a spill during Hazardous Materials Operations (HMO) training this week at the Center for Domestic Preparedness’ Chemical, Ordnance, Biological and Radiological Training Facility – the only facility in the U.S. where civilian responders train with toxic chemical agents and biological materials. The CDP’s five-day HMO course teaches responders to analyze, plan and implement responses to hazardous materials incidents.
