Snapshot: HEC Course
Students practice taking samples of suspicious liquids in the CDP’s Evidence Collection in a Hazardous Materials Environment (HEC) Course. In the four-day course, responders learn about evidence sampling, preservation and documentation. They also perform practical exercises in the center’s Chemical, Ordnance, Biological, and Radiological (COBRA) Training Facility, the only site in the country where civilian responders can train with toxic chemical and hazardous biological materials.
