Students learn to use radiation detection equipment during Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) training this week at the Center for Domestic Preparedness. The three-day course also teaches responders the appropriate use of personal protective equipment and how to triage and decontaminate both ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients.
