Students don personal protective equipment (PPE) in preparation for a mass casualty exercise during this week’s Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) Course on the CDP campus. The three-day offering teaches responders how to triage and decontaminate both ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients who’ve been exposed to hazardous materials. The course also teaches students how to use the Hospital Incident Command System and community emergency response network.
