Students hold a mock press conference during training this week at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. The CDP’s four-day Managing Public Information for All Hazards Incidents Course teaches responders the responsibilities of a public information officer and methods of emergency communications. Students also learn strategic communications planning, message development and delivery, and joint information center operations.
