Toxic gas response course being readied for release
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness is readying its Toxic Gas-Forming Reactions Training distance learning course for release. It is expected to be available online at the beginning of May.
The hour-long, web-based course, developed in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office, will teach public safety officials and first responders how to recognize, identify and respond to a wide range of toxic gas threats.
It will join more than 20 other self-paced, web-based training offerings developed by the CDP that responders can access anywhere, using a computer or compatible mobile device.
