Tribal Nations Training Week continues virtually

Training continues this week for responders participating in Tribal Nations Training Week with FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness.

Resident training for Tribal Nations Training Week was conducted last week on the CDP’s campus in Anniston, Alabama.

The training now moves online with 16 Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) courses, beginning today and continuing through April 7.

VILT topics include special needs considerations, infectious disease precautions, communications during an emergency and active shooter behaviors.

The goal of Tribal Nations Training Week is to enhance the response capabilities of tribal nation responders, with training tailored to their specific needs.

The CDP conducted the first Tribal Nations Training Week in 2016. Since then, it has presented nearly 4,000 course completion certificates to tribal nation responders.
