Upcoming HID course has seat openings

The Center for Domestic Preparedness has seats available in its Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease (HID) Course slated for delivery November 29 to December 4.

The four-day course teaches emergency medical service and other healthcare professionals how to safely triage, transport and treat individuals with highly infectious disease. It culminates with a series of exercises in a realistic healthcare setting, including presentation at an emergency room and treatment in a hospital isolation ward, and also tests multiple non-clinical skills.

CDP training for state, local, tribal and territorial responders is fully funded by the Department of Homeland Security to include transportation, lodging and meals.
