The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ latest online offerings are centered on infectious diseases.
‘Response Considerations During an Outbreak or Pandemic’ examines responder/receiver procedures during an outbreak or pandemic, to include considerations for managing contact with a person known or suspected of being exposed to a virus or other infectious agent. The free course is approximately 45 minutes long and, upon completion, graduates receive a certificate (1 contact hour).
‘Personal Protective Equipment Considerations for Infectious Agents’ examines barrier precaution requirements for infectious agents and the donning, doffing, respiratory protection, safety, and shortage considerations for associated PPE. This free course is approximately 30 minutes long and, upon completion, graduates receive a certificate (1/2 contact hour).
