Snapshot: Field Force Operations Course
Law enforcement officers practice containing and dispersing an illegal protest during Field Force Operations (FFO) training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP). Course participants face role players portraying protestors blocking entry to a business during a hands-on exercise to reinforce knowledge and skills learned during training.
The three-day FFO course teaches law enforcement and security officers about types of protests, legal consideration, constitutional rights of protestors, how to safely manage crowds, and other responsibilities of mobile field force teams. The CDP is authorized to award 2.4 CEUs for this course by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training.
