Responders assess and mitigate a simulated hazardous material leak atop a railcar using skills learned in the Hazardous Materials Technician Course at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. The five-day course instructs participants to respond safely and effectively to incidents at the hazardous materials technician level.
