Overview

Delivered by the Rural Domestice Preparedness Consortium, this 8-hour course takes a comprehensive approach to examining threat groups in rural communities, with a particular focus on the nexus of gangs, hate groups, domestic and international terrorist organizations as they converge for the purposes of criminal enterprise. Through this course, students will learn to Identify the criminal activities of community threat groups (CTG) and networks that impact rural communities across the country; classify domestic and international community threat groups on the basis of institutionalization, sophistication and likelihood for convergence; and, use a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to report suspicious activity carried out by CTGs in and around rural communities. Register for a class by selecting a class date from the Training Schedule, click on the Registration link above the course description to access a registration form for that class. Request a new class to be scheduled in your area by submitting a Request a Course form.
